Each JUICE BOX has a set theme.Readers share works that are either new or not accessible publicly. It is encouraged that selected readers write something new.Readers are selected by lottery. If you'd like to be entered into the lottery, you must indicate as such at check-out.1 ticket = 1 entry. You may buy multiple tickets to have multiple entries.*If you are selected to read, you and your introductory speaker will have your tickets reimbursed.**Tickets are $15 and non-refundable.You do not have to be interested in reading to buy a ticket. General attendees are welcome.Readers are selected 5 days before the event. All tickets purchased after this time will not count towards lottery entries.
*If you want your friends to buy their own tickets, but want more entries, they will have the opportunity to put your name on their purchase.**If over 20 tickets are sold, readers split the profit from additional sales.
The theme of each JUICE BOX will influence the tone of what is read. It can also influence what you wear, what drinks you have, where you go for dinner beforehand, et cetera.To be 'on theme', readers can share work that either:a) Includes the theme directly (example: The theme is sandwiches, and your poem contains a sandwich).orb) Includes the concept of the theme, as interpreted by you
(the theme is sandwiches, and your poem is constructed in a way that you deem to be 'sandwich-like').TLDR; be intentional with what you choose to read.
